Abstract
In the presence of h.v.d.c. links the conventional quasi - steady state simulation of power system disturbances is not justifiable. This paper describes a realistic solution which combines the efficiency of single-phase multimachine transient stability analysis and the accuracy of detailed transient convertor simulation. Versatility and moderate computing requirements establish the proposed solution as a viable alternative to the use of analogue simulators. Keywords
