Abstract
Well-resolved state-to-state data are reported for the vibrational predissociation of specific rotational levels of (B) with eight vibrational quanta in the Cl-Cl stretching mode. The state resolution is sufficient to clearly reveal the symmetry constraints on the dynamics as well as a node in the product-rotational-state distribution. ‘‘Parity-selected’’ excitation spectra are obtained which reduce spectral congestion and aid in the assignment of individual rovibronic transitions.
