Abstract
In US-hyperthermia and -surgery for cancer therapy it is important to know and to predict temperature profiles and developments. On the one hand we have investigated a new method to simulate temperature fields in tissue after application of focused high energy continuous wave ultrasound. On the other hand we developed an experimental technique to measure temperature distributions using a fiber-optic thermometer. Experiment and theory showed reasonable agreementKeywords
