Abstract
A retrospective study of the mortality rate of acute myocardial infarction in two groups of patients treated before and after a coronary care unit was established showed no difference between them. Though it is difficult to compare two series retrospectively so far there are no well controlled studies to demonstrate clearly the value of coronary care units. Keywords
