Abstract
Combined with paramagnetic fluctuations, paramagnetovibrational scattering may lead to the appearance of phonon peaks in otherwise purely magnetic neutron spectra, i.e., after perfect elimination of nuclear scattering contributions. This mechanism provides a possible explanation for the frequently observed coincidence of phonon peaks and maxima in magnetic scattering data. Keywords
