A Study Of Structural Change: The Demand For Meat

Abstract
A Kalman filter specification is proposed to handle parameter variations in a study of structural change. The method is applied to the U.S. demand for meat in the 1970's. One of the result is that the income elasticity of demand for beef appears to have decreased sharply during the last few years.Keywords
