Abstract
The formalism necessary to evaluate the pressure equation of state for nonspherical hard‐core molecules is developed. By making use of previous results, exact second and third pressure virial coefficients are calculated for a diatomic hard‐core model. Also, the fourth pressure virial is calculated in the Percus–Yevick approximation. These results are compared with the corresponding compressibility virials and with virial coefficients calculated from the scaled particle theory as applied to spherocylindrical hard‐core molecules. Keywords
