Abstract
Human α2HS-glycoprotein (AHSG) phenotypes were studied by isoelectric focusing of native and desialyzed samples followed by passive immunoblotting. At present a total of 15 different alleles could be distinguished. The usefulness of AHSG polymorphism in the field of forensic hemogenetics was demonstrated by markedly high variability at AHSG locus, reliability of phenotyping results and stability in blood stains.
