Abstract
The de Haas-van Alphen (DHVA) effect has been investigated in Pd and Pd-Ni alloys in magnetic fields extending to 40 T. With increasing Ni content, the incipient ferromagnetism gives rise to an unusual behaviour which is dominated by a field dependence of the Stoner factor. Keywords
