Abstract
Machine learning involves the modification or creation by program of stored information structures, so that machine-deliverable information becomes more accurate, larger in amount, or cheaper or faster to deliver. A further desideratum, concerned with intelligibility to the user, is reviewed in the light of recent work on computer induction. Keywords
