Application of the Yrast Concept to the Pairing Degree of Freedom

Abstract
The Yrast approximation is applied to the T = 1 pairing collective Hamiltonian. A formalism is thus obtained which may incorporate anharmonic effects in a simple way. The experimentally observed anharmonicities in the 56Ni region are satisfactorily reproduced.Keywords
