Abstract
Free amino acids and amino acids yielded by acid hydrolysis of roots and shoots of 4 spp. of grass[long dash]Andropogon ischaemum, Bouteloua curtipendula, Eragrostis trichodes and Sorghastrum nutans[long dash]were investigated using paper chromatography. The amino acid content is essentially the same for all 4 species. A general decrease in % of amino acids appears to accompany maturation of these plants. Keywords
