Abstract
Sulfite reductase partially purified from Desulfovibrio desulfuricans by ammonium sulfate fractionations and Ca3(PO4)2 gel absorption catalyzes reduction of sulfite to sulfide in the presence of methylviologen as electron donor or on adding cytochrome C3 and unidentified, gel-unadsorbable electron-carrying factor under H2 by simultaneous action of contaminating hydrogenase. Keywords
