Abstract
Nb3Si films have been prepared with varying deposition rates, substrate temperatures, and added oxygen pressure. The variation of the lattice constant with composition for oxygen doped samples follows the predictions of the Geller radii for A15 structures which are as ordered as allowed by stoichiometry. Comparison with other Nb‐based A15’s suggests that the lattice constant of these Nb‐rich Nb3Si films may be approaching the minimum value possible for Nb‐based A15 structures. Keywords
