Abstract
The colony of monk seal near Cap Blanc, on the southern coast of the Sahara, has been regarded as the most important one for survivor of this species, until now. Sightings, compared with previous data, show a decrease of this population since 1973. This is due mainly to the action of man. The survival of M. monachus may depend on maintaining this colony by vigorous protective measures. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
