Abstract
The fatigue-crack growth behavior of two ferritic steels (Modified 9Cr-1Mo and HT-9) was studied over the temperature range 24 to 538/sup 0/C. Results from a previous study are also included for a 2-1/4Cr-1Mo steel tested under identical conditions. In general, crack growth rates increased with increasing temperature, but at a given temperature, there was little or no difference in the behavior of any of the three alloys. Little effect of crack orientation was also noted at any of the test temperatures. 7 figures, 5 tables.
