Abstract
Aboriginal petroglyphs "rock-writing") in western and central Nevada have, up to now, remained a puzzle to archeologists as regards their function and location. Recent field investigation strongly suggests that these are connected with hunting magic, presumably aimed at success in the chase, and that they are located along routes of deer migration. Keywords
