Abstract
This paper presents the machine descriptionlanguage LISA for the generation of bitandcycle accurate models of DSP processors.Based on a behavioral operation description, thearchitectural details and pipeline operations ofmodern DSP processors can be covered. Beyondthe behavioral model, LISA descriptions includeother architecture-related information likethe instruction set. The information providedby LISA models enables automatic generationof simulators and assemblers which are...Keywords
