Abstract
This study evaluated counseling groups held in four public schools for parents of learning disabled children utilizing parents of exceptional children as paraprofessional co-counselors. The counseling groups were evaluated using 13 of the 23 participating parents for whom data were available. Control groups were formed on a post hoc basis by matching for family education. Parents who participated in the counseling increased the frequency of their visits with their children's teachers subsequent to initiation of the counseling groups, but no other improvements were found.
