Abstract
A new type of waveguide filter is described which utilizes circular waveguide components. Through the use of circular polarization a particularly compact structure has been achieved. The features of the filter include constant input resistance, high power handling ability, and high efficiency. Although intended primarily for use as a vestigial sideband filter in the uhf television frequency range, the new filter should find application throughout the frequency range in which waveguide techniques are applicable. Keywords
