Abstract
Sporozoites developing in culture from immature oocysts attached to stomachs of Culex tarsalis were infective to clean canaries. Mosquitoes biting these birds developed sporozoites after a normal period of time. All stages of P. relictum in the mosquito from gametocyte to infective sporozoite have now been grown in vitro. These results further substantiate the conclusion that sporozoites are infective when they are released from the oocyst and do not require a period of further development in the salivary glands. Keywords
