Abstract
The material considered is from several parts of the Ethiopian region, mainly equatorial Africa and Natal, and includes 3 new genera and 51 new species; distributional records are given for many previously described species. ACANTHOCHELONUS (p. 271) (Cheloninae), type A. taurus (p. 272); NEOZELE (p. 275) (Macocentrinae), type N. wheeleri (p. 276), British Guiana; HORMA-GATHIS (p. 287) (Agathidinae), type 77. mellea (p. 288). MYOPORHOGAS (p. 384) is proposed for Microrhogas Szepligeti, non Cameron. New generic synonyms Eiolo Cameron ( = Amicrocentrum Schulz), Ectemnoplax Ender-lein ( = Chelonogastra Ashmead), Palinzele Brues ( [long dash] Aus-trozele Roman). New specific names: Iphiaulax fenestrellus (7. fenestratus Brues, non Szepligeti) (p. 327); 7. togoanus (7. (Iopbracon) togoensis Szepligeti, nec I. Euagathis terebrator Brues is transferred to Hyrtanommatium Enderlein. A key to the genera of the Macrocentrinae is given and keys to the African species of Odontogaster, Mesobracon, Chelonogastra, Rhinoplus, Aspicolpus, Hyrtanommatium, Meteorus, and Helorimorpha. The catalogue of African species contains 1208 species and includes those known from Madagascar and the islands adjacent to the African continent. The bibliography lists all publications containing descriptions of any genera and species occurring in Africa and those containing important distributional records.
