Abstract
This study compares a population of Senior Center Attenders and Non-Attenders from Snohomish County, Washington. The type of activity is a major factor in determining frequency of senior citizen needs. One implication is that service provision to senior citizens should not be totally of the “keep them occupied” variety but, as with all persons, it should allow for the type of activity which gives a feeling of usefulness, of a contribution to society, and of fulfillment to the individual. Keywords
