Abstract

It was found that ZnCl₂–CuCl melts showed an excellent hydrocracking activity for anthracene compared with that of molten ZnCl₂ catalyst in view of increasing the yield of low boiling hydrocracked products. The difference of activities between ZnCl₂–CuCl melts and ZnCl₂ melts is discussed primarily based on the product distribution.
