Abstract
A 41-year-old woman presents with severe pneumonia, and the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) develops. Despite mechanical ventilation, her oxygenation deteriorates. The use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is recommended.Keywords
