Abstract
The lymphoid tissue paracortical venules of experimental animals have a distinctive structure, ultrastructure and histochemistry which is believed to reflect their unique function as the sole site of lymphocyte transfer from blood to lymph. The morphological and cytochemical features of human lymph node paracortical venules (HEV) are described in detail and their possible role in the control of lymphocyte diapedesis is discussed.This publication has 28 references indexed in Scilit:
