Abstract
In this paper we present results of measurements done in order to verify the conclusions of a study concerning the cylindrical condenser used as an electrostatic electron spectrometer. The measurements are related to the angular electron distribution at the exit of the spectrometer, to the average value of the electron energy as a function of the exit angle, to the method of measuring the whole energy distribution of transmitted electrons, and finally to the linearity of the transmission characteristics of this spectrometer.
