Abstract
Progress towards achieving vegetative propagation of E. grandis by organ culture is described. Most of the experiments have been done with aseptic seedlings and, with these, rooting was most readily achieved with nodal explants from the base of the seedlings; best results were obtained with foliated nodal explants. Microbial contamination was a major problem when this technique was extended to field-grown specimens. Keywords
