Abstract
The basis that led to the adoption of the exponent (0.75) as a scaling factor for the relationship between body weight and energy metabolism is presented. In the risk assessment formulation, it may be appropriate to use the 0.75 power of body weight as a scaling factor for carcinogenicity data obtained from animal studies.Keywords
