Abstract

The

{1 / N}_{c}

expansion of the heavy baryon Isgur-Wise functions is discussed. Because of the contracted

{S U (2 N}_{f})

light quark spin-flavor symmetry, the universality relations among the Isgur-Wise functions of

Λ_{b} \to Λ_{c}

and

Σ_{b}^{(*)} \to Σ_{c}^{(*)}

are valid up to the order of

{1 / N}_{c}^{2}

.
