A Search for Nonresonant $B^{+} \to h^{+} h^{-} h^{+}$ Decays

Abstract

We use data collected by the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR) to search for

B^{+} \to h^{+} h^{-} h^{+}

(nonresonant) decays, where

h^{\pm}

can be either

π^{\pm} {, K}^{\pm}

, or

p (\bar{p})

. We see no evidence for signals and set upper limits on the branching fractions in the range

(2.8 - 8.9) \times 10^{- 5}

. If observed, these decays may display CP violating asymmetries.
