Abstract
Regular tooth cleansing was abolished during four days in a group of humans and a group of dogs with healthy gingiva. In another group of dogs with chronic gingivitis their soft diet was exchanged with a hard diet for one day. The effects of these procedures on the amounts of gingival fluid were studied using both the orifice and the intracrevicular method of sampling. The results of the comparison indicate that the two methods are comparable to reveal changes in gingival inflammation. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
