Abstract
Meson - meson scattering is investigated in the framework of the non-relativistic resonating group method using an interquark potential composed of a central and a spin - spin part. The individual meson wavefunctions are expanded in extended harmonic oscillator bases or represented by a superposition of Gaussian-shaped functions. The interaction kernels are calculated using usual shell model techniques. These kernels and the corresponding phase shifts are presented for various channels. Their sensitivity to the accuracy of the meson wavefunctions is discussed. Keywords
