Abstract
The origin of heavy electrons is discussed on the basis of the periodic Anderson Hamiltonian. It is pointed out that the high density of states of f-electrons in the unperturbed state plays an essential role in giving the large enhancement of the T-linear electronic specific heat, while the large value of U itself is not so essential.Keywords
