Sarcocystis rileyi in Sage Grouse

Abstract

During a study of striated muscle of several species of gallinaceous birds, Sarcocystis rileyi was found only in sage grouse, Centrocercus urophasianus, taken in southern Alberta. This parasite has not previously been found in grouse.
