Abstract
A method of determining the dielectric properties of materials using the polarisation force exerted by a special (isomotive) field configuration is described. The technique allows for the permittivity, and in some instances the conductivity, to be determined as a function of frequency. An important feature is that electrodes are not required to be attached to the test sample, which may be of arbitrary shape. Keywords
