Abstract
Geriatric day hospitals are commonly used in the rehabilitation of stroke. However, there is little objective evidence about its effect for this condition. The potential advantages and disadvantages are finely balanced and further research, including cost-effectiveness analysis, is needed to define more clearly the role of this expensive facility. Keywords
