Measurement of the decay rate for the processKL0→μ+μ−

Abstract
The branching ratio Γ(KL0μ+μ)Γ(KL0π+π) has been measured and found to be 4.00.9+1.4×106. With the same apparatus the branching ratio Γ(KL0π+π)Γ(KL0all) has been measured to be (2.01±0.09)×103. The combination of these two results gives Γ(KL0μ+μ)Γ(KL0all)=8.11.8+2.8×109. This result is consistent with the lower bound predicted from the decay rate KLγγ and unitarity.
