Abstract

Abnormal behavior in rats, similar to the behavior reported by other investigators in studies on exptl. neurosis, is described as resulting from the auditory stimulus of an air blast. No learning behavior was required of the animals so the abnormal responses could not be attributed to the difficulty of some discriminatory response as is done in most other studies.
