Abstract
A modified version of the load duration curve, termed the Combined Load Duration Curve (CLDC), that accurately accounts for forced outages, maintenance requirements and random deviations of customers' demand, is presented. Approaching the problem from a probabilistic point of view, the CLDC is formulated in an explicit manner using a convolution process. A computational procedure, based on recursive relations, is then derived directly from the convolution formula. Keywords
