Abstract
Dispersion relations for the logarithm of the K+or-p forward scattering amplitude have been derived and evaluated. The prominent role played by zeros of the amplitude is revealed and the present insufficiency of knowledge of locations of zeros is discussed. The results of the calculations are in qualitative agreement with most of the experimental data. Keywords
