Abstract
In 244 cases of parathyroidectomy in the white rat, susceptibility to tetania parathyreopriva was 56% in normal 60-day-old animals, 13% in 90-day-old animals. Seasonal variations did not affect susceptibility. Incidence of tetany increased as thyroid activity decreased. Hyperthyroidism was accompanied by immunity to tetany. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
