Quantum mechanics of inflation

Abstract
It is pointed out that the slow-roll equation of new-inflationary-universe models is not true in general for interacting field theories. We determine a set of conditions under which it is relevant, but argue that they are not likely to be satisfied by the early universe.Keywords
