Abstract
Gastric emptying times were observed on 17 normal young men in rest at environmental temps. of 77[degree] F. and 120[degree] F. In all but one of the subjects the gastric emptying time was shorter (aver. 30%) at the high temps. Observations on about 100 normal men doing hard work at 120[degree] F. failed to indicate any lack of appetite or any signs of decreased gastric activity except in actual heat exhaustion. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
