Abstract
Aswad appears from the PPNA onwards as a permanent settlement practizing full fledged agriculture. The introduction of Sheep breeding at Ghoraife PPNB does not seem linked with any new population groups. Ceramic Neolithic appears characterized by différenciation between several local contemporaneous patterns. Key-words : Syria, Aswad, PPNA, PPNB, agriculture.Keywords
