Abstract
A novel logic circuit which has been successfully applied to secure automatic operation of a high precision Wheatstone bridge is described. The method relies on the fact that the installation determines the instant of equilibrium of the resistance of a platinum wire subjected to a constant heat flux, thus giving highly accurate pairs of values of wire temperature and time. The logic circuit starts and stops six electronic counters in the right sequence and unbalances the bridge by a predetermined resistance after each equilibrium. The latter instant provides the signal to stop one preselected counter. Keywords
