Abstract
The Langerhans cells in samples of histologically normal and pathological vocal cord mucosa were counted after identification using S-100 polyclonal antibody. Langerhans cells were commonly seen in vocal cord polyp epithelium but were infrequent in normal cord mucosa. They were also identified in samples of squamous carcinoma, severe dysplasia and chronic inflammation. Keywords
