Abstract
We have reported in this paper certain observations on the psychological mechanisms activated in patients subjected to electroshock therapy, both before, during, and after treatment. We have also offered some theoretical hypotheses in explanation of the selective influence of electroshock on the psycho-physiology of the patient. Cases illustrative of the range of conditions treated, and of the reactions described, have been summarised. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
