Abstract
The structure and magnetic properties of amorphous transition elements is reviewed. The methods of obtaining suitable samples will be discussed, the structural investigations so far carried out will be described, and the results compared with those obtained from model building. The experimental measurements on the effect of structural disorder on the magnetic moment and Curie temperature of the transition elements will be reviewed in the light of current theoretical progress. Keywords
