Abstract
The authors report results of measurements of the anisotropy of the high-field magnetoresistance in single crystals of potassium. They find no evidence for the presence of open orbits. This result casts doubt on the interpretation of the induced torque experiments of Coulter and Datars (1985) in terms of a charge-density wave ground state in potassium. Keywords
